These are glycerin based soaps combined with particular medicinal plants of the forest. The name of the soap is ‘Yakumama’ which is Kichwa for mother of water or purity. The soaps are handmade in the indigenous community of Rio Blanco which is known for it’s communal knowledge of medical plants of the rainforest. Each plant brings a different characteristic to the soap. These soaps carry the wisdom of the forest in them.
